The short answer

These are the steps the Alaska agency lists to restore a license after a suspension for no insurance. The state's reinstatement fees are $100 to $500, depending on the suspension. Whether an SR-22 is also required depends on your case.

Steps listed by the Alaska agency

  1. Apply through DMV Online Services at my.alaska.gov
  2. Submit a completed and signed D1 application
  3. Provide proof of SR-22, dated within the last 30 days
  4. If the license has been suspended for more than 1 year, pass the written test (vision test also listed)
  5. Pay the reinstatement fee online from the electronic invoice sent by email
